chapter host
Weird Specialty Salons foster intimate gatherings built from a vast spectrum of creative women—different industries, scales of business, years of experience. What unites us is our eagerness to be in communion together without performative pressures. Chapter hosts carry the same foundational motivation: to help foster and grow a room meant to support, inspire, and protect the creative women in business in their region/city.
This is a collective grounded in the trust it takes to build businesses on your own terms: in the niches you work within, prioritizing the life you want to live and the values you integrate into your work over traditional metrics of success and recognition. That trust is extended to women who have the standing, judgment, and genuine commitment to hold a room that takes itself seriously.
A chapter host is a Salon member first. She knows the standards because she has sat, or wants to sit, inside this room. She wants to curate her regional gathering with the same intentionality that defines The Salon’s mission.
If that is you, or if you think it might be, apply below.
A seat at the table
Full Salon membership—all the benefits of the network, the directory, and the annual arc of gatherings—plus:
One annual in-person visit from Gretchen Jones
Once a year, I come to you. We co-facilitate your chapter gathering together, I meet your regional network, and I make myself available for individual advisory sessions with members while I’m on the ground. These sessions are booked directly and billed separately, but the access is real, in person, and yours to offer your room. Additional visits beyond the guaranteed annual one are possible and available at my standard rates.
Two annual one-on-one advising sessions with Gretchen Jones
One at the start of the arc to set the year’s intention and strategic direction. One mid-year to assess, adjust, and advise on both your chapter and your own business.
Quarterly group video calls with all chapter hosts
Programming planning, post-gathering debrief, and the particular kind of peer exchange that only exists in a room of people doing the same difficult, specific thing.
Direct access to a private cohort of chapter hosts
The women building regional tables across the network. A resource, a sounding board, and a room in its own right.
A revenue share returned to the chapter
Twenty percent of each regional member’s annual dues comes back to you. This is a structural acknowledgment that the health of your chapter is what makes the network work. The more carefully you curate and the more your membership grows, the more the chapter sustains itself.
Recognition as an official Salon chapter host
Within the network directory and with your region noted.
Annual investment: $1,000
Inclusive of standard Salon membership. No separate fee.
what chapter hosts receive
A chapter host commits to hosting monthly gatherings, curating her room with care, and representing the standards of The Salon in a city I am not in. It asks for real time, real judgment, and real accountability.
The application will ask you to make the case for your region, describe the room you would build, and tell me honestly what leading one asks of you that you haven’t done before.
If you’re ready for that, I want to hear from you.
