the SALON
The Salon is a private, vetted network of independent female creative entrepreneurs committed to doing business with each other. Not a networking group. Not a mastermind. A self-sustaining economy. We find each other. We hire each other. We refer each other. We invest in each other's work. The goal is straightforward: keep as much of our economic activity as possible within a community we actually trust. Membership is by invitation. To learn more, knock on the door.
HOW WE’RE EVOLVING
What began as intimate monthly gatherings remains, while also becoming something larger: a national and international network of independent creative women committed to economic solidarity and genuine collaboration. The directory, chapters and community infrastructure are being built deliberately and carefully.
The longer vision is bigger than community. Independent creative women are an economic force that is chronically undervalued, underrepresented in policy conversations, and underserved by existing structures. The Salon is building toward something that addresses that directly: a collective that doesn't just support its members internally, but advocates loudly for our value and importance in the broader economy. Transaction and referral within the network is the foundation. Lobbying for policy change and structural economic support for independent creative entrepreneurs is the horizon.
We're building the network first, because you can't advocate from isolation. But make no mistake: this is about power, not just community. And we intend to earn a seat at every table that matters.
If you're reading this, you found your way here. That probably means you belong.
We’re fostering intimate gatherings built from a vast spectrum of creative women. What unites us is our eagerness to be in communion together without performative pressures. Chapter hosts carry the same foundational motivation: to help foster and grow a room meant to support, inspire, and protect the creative women in business in their region.
A chapter host is a Salon member first. She knows the standards because she has sat, or wants to sit, inside this room. She wants to curate her regional gathering with the same intentionality that defines the Salon’s mission. If this sounds like you, apply to become a chapter host.
